"Wonderful rehabilitation"

About: Allied Health (Bass Coast Health) Wonthaggi Hospital / Armitage House Wonthaggi Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

After falling at home, my very elderly parent was taken by Ambulance to ER at Bass Coast Health, Wonthaggi. From the moment my parent arrived, the care was fantastic. Fortunately, there were no broken bones and they were admitted to a Short Stay bed overnight, then straight into Armitage House for rehabilitation.

All of the rehab team that looked after my parent was brilliant - the Allied Health, Nursing and Medical, cleaning and food services - everyone was caring and communicative. All this during the period where COVID 19 was ramping up.

After 10 days in rehab, my parent has returned to their own home strong and confident. We can only sing your praises and thank you again.

Dear JF,

Sounds like you got out just in time with COVID coming! Thanks so much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.

Older people and Falls are often a terrible combination so I am so pleased that the journey into rehab was successful. Good luck continuing the rehab at home and take care during the coming months!

We are keen to keep older people out of hospital so tell them to stay safe!

Kind Regards,
Jan
