"Poor communication"

I had Heart Failure well over a year ago. Initially, a different health department handled my case mainly at another hospital. When it was determined that I needed a Heart Valve replacement, Austin Health sort of took over from there.

In preparing for surgery, I have had two teeth extracted and recently had an ultrasound of my kidneys done at a different hospital. This procedure, that took about 14 - 29 minutes, saw me leave home around midday, returning almost 9 hours later - rather a long day! I have been awaiting the outcome of the ultrasound.

Recently, I got an anonymous letter from Austin Health requesting an appointment. I immediately rang the number on the form saying I couldn't possibly get to the Austin Hospital early morning, suggesting an afternoon appointment, who was the appointment with and what for, as I didn't know what New Pri Renal Medicine means? I was told I can't get an afternoon appointment as there's no one there in the afternoons.

I believe we are often told that Australia's Health System is the envy of the rest of the world. In my opinion, I'd like to know what part of it, exactly, does it envy?
