"Birth Experience at Broome Hospital"

The Doctors and Midwives that looked after me at the Broome hospital were absolutely outstanding and I can't speak highly enough of them. We recently had a child which was delivered in Broome Hospital. With everything going on in the world at the moment with COVID-19, I feel they still put in 110% all of the time when it came to patient care, empathy and every aspect of their jobs. You can tell they are all extremely passionate and motivated in their duties and also maintain a very high standard of work and professionalism. We can't really comment on the rest of the hospital because we only had dealings in the birthing suite, but I would say if they're all like that then the people in Broome are in the very best of hands. 

Our child was born with some respiratory complications which, if not dealt with correctly, could have been dire. The staff who worked on our baby right in front of us did not show any signs that things were serious enough for the parents to start worrying. They kept their cool and worked like a Formula 1 Pit Stop team. Perfectly coordinated, professional, and from where we were standing, they seemed to really know their stuff.

We have a whole new appreciation for the job our Health Care professionals do on a daily basis. It was not until after the birth that the situation was explained to us in detail and that's where we got a grasp on how serious it was. After the birth, my partner had to stay in hospital for a few days with our little one so our baby could be monitored. Their after birth care, was more than them just doing their jobs. Going above and beyond in their duties just seemed like the norm there.
