"My parent's care"

About: Raymond Terrace Gardens Care Community

(as a relative),

My mum required urgent assisted living about a year ago so I contacted Opal Raymond Terrace Gardens where my grandma had lived many years ago and had been looked after incredibly well.

From the moment I called, Amy and Roxanne could not do enough to help me. It seemed nothing was ever too much and their warmth, compassion and understanding felt like my mum was just moving into another home with a loving family.

My mum is so happy there! She is thriving, in my opinion! It has been such a relief for my siblings and all our families to know that she is receiving around the clock care, where her day to day health and compliancy to taking her pills (and not going over her daily fluid allowance) is all being taken care of.

I believe she is so spoilt by each and every one of the amazing staff and absolutely loves them. I feel they treat her just like she is their mum or grandma and it's so obvious to me that they love her and care for her as if she is. I've really noticed how her needs are listened to and they will go out of their way to try to accommodate their residents' needs or desires. She enjoys delicious food and lovely outings, there is always something to do and someone to talk to. It really is a lovely, happy place, in my opinion, and an incredible comfort knowing she is in such a safe, caring place.

This is really being highlighted to me at the present moment with the restrictions that are in place with COVID-19. The manager, Brad, is in constant communication with all the families letting us all know how they are dealing with the ever-evolving situation. My mum feels so safe talking to him and all of the staff and is so grateful to all the measures each and every one of them are taking to keep their residents safe. She tells me how seriously they all take it by self-isolating on weekends and not doing anything that could compromise their residents. I am in awe of all these beautiful people who can put their residents before their own needs to keep them safe.

I want to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you on behalf of myself and family! Words cannot do justice to the gratitude we feel to each and every one of you. No matter what role or job title you have, you are an amazing team who have a common thread. You all have beautiful hearts and your job is not a job it is a vocation, in my opinion.

May you and all your families stay safe and be blessed!
