My sibling was flown to Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) by the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) and now in critical condition.
Communication via phone was stressful and frustrating, resulting in my elderly parent being too distraught and depressed, this, in turn, left me angry, frustrated and feeling useless in supporting my sibling in ICU and my parent at home.
I had spoken to staff who stated my sibling's mood and behaviour as a patient. When I offered advice to assist staff, I believe it was ignored. Both my sibling and I had informed and requested on occasions for an orderly to bring my sibling for 10 mins outdoor air... I believe this was never done.
My sibling was, I believe, basically ignored. They had even asked the staff why they were being ignored. Their mental, emotional and psychological wellbeing was disregarded, in my opinion; I believe resulting in my sibling's physical deterioration now.
Not impressed.
