"Emergency admission"

About: Maroondah Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I recently was readmitted into Maroondah Hospital for constant stomach pains I’ve had for years. I was really anxious upset and frustrated as the paramedics who attended me didn’t seem to believe I was in pain.

The nurse I had whose name was Daniel was so supportive and caring. It was a busy night on the ward mind you but he always popped his head in and ensured he would be with me when he could and apologised for the wait. He also sat with me for a while I got emotional about talking about my experience with past hospitals and tests.

Although I still don’t know what is wrong, I really thank him for being such a genuine nurse and looking after my mental and physical health 😊

Dear reticulumbs48

Thank you so very much for taking the time to share your feedback and comments regarding your experience when you were admitted to Eastern Health's Maroondah Hospital.

Whilst this would not have been an experience you would have wanted, I was really proud to hear the efforts Daniel made and the impact he had on your care and experience. It will give me agreat pleasure to share your comments with he and his manager so they can see first hand what his care meant for you.

I'm sorry you don't have all the answers yet but hope you are staying in the best of health as possible.

Kind regards and best wishes,

David
