"COVID testing - they forgot about me"

About: Broome Health Campus

(as the patient),

My GP recommended I get a COVID test. So I reported to my local COVID clinic (Broome hospital). After being in the waiting room for over 1. 5 hours, I asked the receptionist/nurse for some water. They looked at me (weirdly I felt) and asked are you still here? I responded yes, still haven’t been tested and have been waiting for over 1. 5 hours.

They raced off and returned with water and the doctor to do my testing. Thank you! The doctor was apologetic, saying it’s lunch handover time, breakdown in communication etc. I'm not that impressed they forgot there were two people waiting for testing for that amount of time!
