(as a service user),

Why does the PATS office in the Pilbara never answer their phone? In my opinion, there are serious issues here around staffing if that does not occur.   Why do you not have one centralised office for flight bookings? I feel it would be more professional and easier for all.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding the Patient Assisted Travel Scheme Office.

I am so sorry that you have had issues with the telephone not being answered. The number you phone is the central PATS office for all enquiries and bookings in the Pilbara, which is staffed Monday to Friday 8am-4pm.

We have recognised the issue of long delays to phones being answered, which several people have raised with us. In order to address this, we are looking at a telephone system that will provide a call waiting message and a timeframe so the calls are answered and directed to the available staff member.

We are always looking for ways to improve and opportunities for change and these are greatly assisted with consumer feedback, so again, thank you for providing this.
