This note is to thank the MGP4 midwife group at King Eddy Hospital for providing high-quality care and support during and after my pregnancy. I could honestly not have wished for anything better.
From the first appointment, when I was 20 weeks pregnant and all the way up to giving birth and the days immediately after, the midwives that I had contact with (3 of them: Liz, Sarah, Paula) have taken time to listen, answer my questions and, alleviate any nervousness about the birth by providing relevant facts and information to enable me to make the right decisions for my birth of our baby.
Having the same small group of midwives see me at every appointment made a big difference in relation to the continuity of support. I never once had to repeat myself as they were all fully informed about my situation.
The care provided by the group in the days after I gave birth was really appreciated. During that time you often feel more vulnerable and have a lot of questions in relation to the newborn and your own recovery, even if it’s not your first child. They visited me every day for the first 5 days until the community nurse took over.
I had challenges with breastfeeding and the same day I raised concerns they provided a pump for free to support me and came out to show me tips on the best way to feed.
Thank you to MGP4 for your excellent support and care. I have recommended you to two friends who are currently pregnant.
