I was diagnosed with breast cancer in early last year. Although extremely surprising and scary, it was an incredible experience and one via which I met some amazing people.
I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received whilst undergoing chemotherapy in Ambulatory Zone 4. I want to acknowledge the following people for their gentle and compassionate care:
Receptionists - Nola, Naomi, Grace and Jo
Nurses - Lesley, Jo, Colin and Cathy
Doctors - Ari, Logan, Omar, David, Alasdair and Ed.
I am thankfully now cancer-free and in remission, however, my journey was not without incident. I had a few bad turns and was admitted to the hospital twice. During my stay, I was looked after by the staff in the Surgical ward and Medical wards. I felt that everyone was incredibly caring and went out of their way to make me feel better.
Anyone who unfortunately has to go through such a scary and life-changing experience, in my opinion, will be met with compassion and care from the staff at Albany Health Campus.
You're all superheroes in my eyes!
