"Armitage House Palliative Care"

About: Wonthaggi Hospital / Armitage House

(as a relative),

Knowing you are going to lose a loved one to illness is heartbreaking for everyone, more so when it's unexpected, but knowing your loved one is being provided with the best possible care, dignity and respect brings so much comfort to the hardest days.

We cannot thank all the team at Armitage House enough for all the knowledge, professionalism, care and compassion shown to our mother in their palliative care unit. All staff went above and beyond not only for our mum but also were so supportive and understanding to us as a family. It definitely takes a special sort of person to do what they do every day and we will be forever grateful to each and every one of them.

Dr Megan, Christine, all the nursing staff, kitchen staff and domestic staff at Armitage House, thank you from the bottom of our hearts you are all amazing and are wonderful at what you do.

Dear Treesagreen,

Please accept my sincere condolences. Losing someone you love is never easy, and I think it is even harder when it is unexpected.

There is no greater privilege as a care team than to care for a patient and their family at the end of life. I feel so proud of the BCH team who believe sincerely in being able to do their best to deliver compassionate end of life care and I know Megan, Chris, the whole team will be very chuffed to get your feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to post this in your time of grief. I hope you are ok.

Kind Regards,

Jan
