I would like to record my appreciation for the treatment I received recently at Box Hill Hospital. From when my injuries following a bicycle accident were being assessed in the Emergency Department to my eventual discharge nine days later, I always felt confident that I was receiving the best attention.
The surgeon operating on my fractures explained the procedures required, the medical team provided a daily update on my treatment and all the ancillary services, such as scans and x-rays, took place with professional precision. My last accolade is for the nursing staff in Ward 1 on the 7th floor - what a friendly, caring team. Whether it was conducting routine tests or responding to requests, their cheery disposition was contagious. Some of the nursing staff that I remember included; Alina, Ashley, Ashleigh, Anne, Chloe, Fiona, Georgie, Kate, Krissy, Mikaela, Rachel and Shannon. Your staff training is commendable because they were all wonderful - so caring and friendly.
After two days I was offered a transfer to a private hospital - an offer I declined. What was the incentive to move? I was well satisfied with my treatment and the staff were superb.
Thanks to all the team.
