"My sibling's treatment with a brain tumour"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

I would like to commend the staff at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) in Perth. My sibling was diagnosed with a brain tumour earlier this year and their world was completely changed from that time.

The care and compassion my sibling was shown in the ER was incredible and from there it was surgery and now they have completed 6 weeks of radiation and their treatment will be ongoing.

Everyone who has been involved in my sibling's treatment has been wonderful and we would especially like to say how valuable it has been to have a wonderful contact in Mary. We have been able to ring her at any time and she has always answered our questions and sorted stuff very quickly and this has made our lives much easier.

Once again a big thank you to the staff at SCGH.

Dear septemberxg69,

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch to tell us about the wonderful care your sibling received at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. I was so sorry to hear that they were diagnosed with a brain tumour and I can appreciate this must have been a very distressing time for you all.

We are very fortunate to have such caring, dedicated staff working here and it's stories like yours which allows us to acknowledge and celebrate the wonderful work the team do each and every day. I shall share your thanks and appreciation with all the staff involved and in particular with Mary and make sure that they know how much the care and treatment they provided contributed to such a positive experience for your sibling and family.

I do hope your sibling's health has improved and I wish them all the best for their ongoing treatment.

Kind regards

Janet Zagari
