I have had three stents implanted into my bile duct since early this year and am due for my fourth soon. In each case where I have arrived at the Gastro Ward in the early hours of the morning, I have been impressed with the respect and care I have been provided in preparation and then recovery from this tricky procedure. I have also been comforted by the fact that, as a teaching hospital, there are many consultative processes in place to discuss my condition and this has been communicated to me in a timely fashion. I have also been treated really well on the extended-stay ward, where I have been located post-procedure due to my reaction to the ERCP.
I have praise for the nursing staff and patience on Ward 8A as I believe they work under really trying conditions with a variety of patients. It may be that I am a regular patient and am now in "a relationship" with RPH to manage my diagnosed condition, but I have been comforted by the care and attention I have received from the public health system as displayed by RPH staff.
