"Pain Management Clinic"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital / Pain Management Clinic

(as the patient),

Been a patient of the pain management clinic now for almost 2 years. I was meant to go back a few months ago but due to COVID, it screwed up so many things.

However, the Clinic asked me if I could do a phone consult with my specialist. I was ok with that, even though I had to make a trip into Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital for an appointment with another specialist.

Since that time, I have heard nothing from the Pain Management Clinic at all and believe the meds aren’t working. I’m surprised in this day and age that it’s closed on a Friday. I’m concerned that I’m being left in the system non-existent.

Dear beidjd55,

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns regarding the Pain Management Clinic at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. I hope you will please accept my apologies on behalf of the service that you haven’t been contacted regarding the anticipated phone consultation with your specialist.

As we would like to gain a better understanding of why this occurred and to identify what we could do differently in the future, I would encourage you to contact the SCGH Consumer Liaison Service on 6457 4441 so that we can investigate your concerns.

We look forward to hearing from you

Kind regards

Janet Zagari
