I recently attended the Sydney Eye Hospital for hand surgery. I was lucky to have met some really amazing nurses but one in particular that I would like to send a shout out to. 

Kate, you’re an absolute legend of a nurse. From the welcoming smile in admission, walking me to surgery, telling me jokes to keep my anxiety settled and then when I returned to the ward, a lovely Cuppa waiting for me. 

Thanks again and I wish you all the best in your Nursing career.

Undergoing surgery can be such a daunting experience, so it makes me extremely happy to hear Kate was able to make this experience a lot less stressful for you. The way you describe the care provided to you is a true reflection of our hospital CORE values.
