"Finding a diagnosis of CAS"

About: Ravensthorpe Hospital / Support Services Telehealth Service - WACHS Great Southern

(as a parent/guardian),

We have been struggling for a few years now with our young child who has been constantly learning and dropping verbal skills.

After a lot of too-ing and fro-ing we within the rural medical system, we met Grace, our fantastic Speech Therapist who has helped up reach a diagnosis of C.A.S and has researched and tailored therapy to suit my child's unique learning difficulty.

During COVID she introduced Telehealth with great success and we hope to use it more effectively into the future to try and create more consistency and progress, given our very limited face to face access.

Dear hawkyd85,

Thank you very much for taking the time to post your story on Care Opinion. We really appreciate feedback from our community.

Whilst we are sorry that it has taken so long for your child to receive a definitive diagnosis, we share your relief that you now have one with a clear plan of action. We will ensure that Grace and the Telehealth Team are made aware of your feedback.

With best wishes,

Jo Anne Webb
