"Breast assessment staff"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Breast Service & Ward 6A

(as the patient),

As a woman, finding a lump is never good. My doctor referred me to Fiona Stanley Hospital breast assessment.

It took roughly three weeks to get an appointment, and early in the morning which was great for me as I have a few medical conditions. I only waited about five minutes before being called in. The doctor asked a few questions then completed an exam and, putting dots where the lumps were, she also told me the process in what order, so I knew what to expect. I then waited about another five minutes before being called in for an ultrasound and mammogram, and omg the staff were so nice, kind and considerate. After these tests were completed, I was given a form to have a biopsy done, that didn’t take long either.

Each staff member I had interactions with were so considerate and even though they are touching your breast, they gave me privacy as much as possible. Big huge thumbs up for all the staff in the breast assessment team and at Path West for making the terrifying situation into one that was really pleasant.

Hi aquariusyw98,

Finding a breast lump can be a very scary time and I am so very glad we could make this process a little easier for you. Thank you so very much for your lovely words and positive feedback. I will pass these kind and positive comments on to the whole breast team.

Kind regards,

Neil Doverty
