"Pain Clinic the worst department"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital / Pain Management Clinic

(as the patient),

I was expecting a phone call from the Pain Clinic some months ago but due to my work I was unable to take the call but I had another appointment at SCGH on the same day and I went to my appointment then to the Pain Clinic to explain.

They said they will get the doctor to call me when they can, sadly they didn’t return the phone call and as a result, I got referred back to my GP. 

I live with debilitating pain every day and I am unable to take the medication the Pain Clinic prescribed me with. 

I am fed up with this Pain Clinic.

I was very sorry to read that you did not receive a phone call from the doctor as anticipated and have been referred back to your GP for pain management.

Hello Janet

Thank you for your response. I made a complaint to Consumer Liaison and they told me the process and I still wasn’t happy.
