"Cannot fault the service"

About: Kalbarri Health Centre / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My partner suddenly experienced chest pain after a long hike in the gorgeous region of Kalbarri and presented at the 24-hour health service there. They were treated exceptionally - from the Nursing staff Cindy and Matt, to the GP who promptly arrived by boat, to the Telehealth specialist team that was beamed onto a giant screen on the wall to consult, to the volunteer ambulance transport service to Geraldton. I cannot fault the service. Amazing.

I was sorry to hear that your partner became unwell whilst hiking, this must have been a stressful time for you so thank you for taking the time to write to Care Opinion to share your feedback on our service.

It was fantastic to read that your partner's treatment at the Kalbarri Health Service was exceptional. We are fortunate to have such wonderful staff that provide professional, compassionate and high-quality care reflective of the WA Country Health Service values.

The Emergency Telehealth Service really is a wonderful service that uses video conferencing equipment to connect local doctors and nurses with highly trained, emergency medicine specialists, ensuring specialist medical care is available to regional and remote patients. The partnership between health services and health transport providers like St John Ambulance is an important component of rural health care and I will pass on your kind words to the team at St John Ambulance.
