About: Bentley Hospital / Antenatal Clinic & Labour Ward Bentley Hospital / Maternity Ward 2 & Neonatal Nursery

(as a relative),

As a resident of the local community, I would like to request to re-open the maternity division. It would be a real shame that we couldn't use the facility, for which I believe so many good reviews on the service.

It is only Armadale hospital which would be available to use the service now.

Dear Local123,

I would like to sincerely apologise for any concern and inconvenience the temporary closure of the Bentley Health Service (BHS) Maternity Unit has caused. Regrettably as part of our preparation for the COVID-19 pandemic the difficult decision was made to temporarily cease the maternity and gynaecological services at BHS.

This decision was not made lightly and was done with the best interests of our patients and their families as well as our staff in mind. There is currently no set date for the recommencement of these services at BHS. The COVID 19 situation is being monitored continuously and a decision will be made once we can ensure safe and effective care can be provided for our mothers, babies and staff.

We are extremely proud of the BHS maternity service and have worked hard in recent years to increase the availability of the service to the community and look forward to these services resuming.
