"Service and kindness to my young child on the Spectrum"

(as a parent/guardian),

I had amazing service at Fiona Stanley Hospital and wanted to share it.

My young child who is on the Spectrum broke their arm recently and we presented to the children’s ED.

We were seen by a nurse within 2 mins then seen by the clerk immediately after.

To care for my child, who wasn’t coping very well being moved and being in hospital due to their sensory issues, they put us in a darker private room.

We sat together on the bed for their whole treatment. Pain relief and their X-Ray happened quickly flowed by confirmation of a fracture and then a cast was put on.

We were in and out in 2hours and I was so happy with the service and kindness especially as my child can find these things extra tricky.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide information about your child’s experience in our Emergency Department. Being the busiest Emergency Department in the state, it is nice to occasionally have reaffirmed what we believe; that our staff are kind, caring and compassionate and really do put everything they have into ensuring our patients have the best experience possible.

I have shared your feedback with the teams involved, and passed on my personal thanks as well as your gratitude.
