Last week I had a suspected TIA (transient ischemic attack) that resulted in an ambulance ride to Box Hill Hospital. I've never been in an ambulance or a public hospital before, so I don't have anything to compare them to. However, given the number of parties, processes and technology involved, I couldn't imagine a better-coordinated effort.
From the ambulance paramedics to the specialist doctors and nurses that looked after me; each one pleasantly and efficiently performed their specific role and the handover from team to team was seamless. The facilities were excellent too - clean, modern and available without delay.
I feel we in Australia are very lucky to have the health system and health professionals that we do.
"Feeling thankful"
