I gave birth to my first baby a few months ago at Osborne Park. I cannot commend the staff enough for their kindness, diligence and dedication to their practice.
The staff worked wonderfully with my obstetrician (Dr. Stuart at One For Women, for whom I am incredibly grateful) to arrange for me to deliver there, after my local hospital closed the maternity ward for COVID.
When I went in to labour, the midwives, nurses and doctors were all a pleasure to speak with and provided clear information throughout the process. Although I intended to have minimal interventions, I ended up with an epidural (with the anaesthetist arriving amazingly fast), and a c-section. Every step of the way I felt informed and comfortable which helped immensely.
The contact between the midwives and my OB was seamless in my opinion, and even in my unplanned c-section, the anaesthetist and doctors were good-humoured, making the whole experience easier (and I believe helped settle my nervous husband's nerves).
Due to COVID, my hubby couldn't stay or visit for as long as I would have liked over the next 2 days (no reflection on the hospital), but the teams of midwives were amazing, I can't thank them enough for their help in learning how to breastfeed, swaddle and settle my baby, and they even looked after them for a couple of blissful hours so I could get some sleep. I felt the communication and handover between staff were seamless and thorough, so I never had to go over anything twice.
Our happy and healthy little baby is over 10 weeks old now, and I am so grateful to have had such a good experience with Osborne Park maternity, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
"Excellent maternity experience at Osborne Park"
