"Wonderful, dedicated patient-focused care"

My family would like to personally thank the wonderful, competent and caring Clinical Specialist Nurse, Nordy, from the Dickinson 4 Ward at the Prince of Wales Hospital for the beautiful, dedicated, compassionate and diligent nursing care provided to my parent during their recent 3-week admission for an acute illness.

My parent was extremely fortunate to have Nurse Nordy look after them on many shifts during their recent stay on D4 ward. Nordy's kind, caring and nurturing manner was comforting to observe and definitely contributed to my parent's improvement in health and recovery. The daily physical care provided to my parent was to the highest standards. Nordy's attention to detail and diligence ensured my parent was exceptionally well cared for both physically and emotionally. His exceptional nursing skills were notable and he was very proactive in dealing with and making medical interventions that optimised my parent's care. 

We also were appreciative of Nordy's encouraging support of both my sibling and I as we were very distressed and struggling to cope with seeing our parent so unwell. His compassion and empathy shown to not only my parent but my family were greatly appreciated during this difficult time. He was comforting and reassuring us and provided updates to inform us of my parent's progress and improvements.

We wish to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation of the personalised, patient-centred care given to my parent by Nurse Nordy. He is the example of nursing excellence in the field in my opinion and is an outstanding health professional and role model for the junior nursing profession. We cannot thank him enough for his beautiful care of our darling parent. 

We would also like to thank the Nurse Manager, Kate and all the wonderful nurses that contributed and cared for my parent during their stay on D4 Ward. We appreciate all the hard work, care and compassion of all the nursing team. Many thanks from my family to an exceptional nursing team on D4 ward.
