My family were so impressed by the patient-focused supportive care my relative recently received by Doris, the assistant in nursing, on Dickinson 4 (D4) ward at the Prince of Wales Hospital that we thought it necessary to share our experience.
My relative was admitted to D4 for a period of time for treatment and recovery from an acute illness. During my relative's stay, they received superb nursing supportive care by Doris. We believe Doris is a perfect example of what dedicated and passionate individuals exist in our hospital system. She took the time to understand my relative's needs and gain their trust and guide them through their recovery with lots of smiles, reassurance and encouragement. She created a very special and meaningful connection with my relative, which we believe helped significantly in their return to improved health.
We would like to acknowledge and express our sincere gratitude to Doris for all her kindness during our relative's admission. Doris is a health professional that makes a difference for patients and families. Doris is "one in a million" and we are thankful for all that she did to help my relative and our family.
"Amazing care and support"
