My spouse suffered acute, angle-closure glaucoma recently which was on a public holiday. Their eye pressure was 44mmHg and was in extreme pain and no sight in their left eye.
They were referred immediately to the Eye Hospital in Macquarie Street, Sydney. As it was a public holiday we had to present through the Emergency Department. Our experience was a pleasant one, in which all staff and Allied Health treated my spouse with humanity and professionalism.
Special thanks to Dr Julijana, who treated my spouse and immediately made us comfortable as her skills and knowledge regarding the issue made us reassured we were in good hands. At no time did we feel rushed or neglected.
While we we there as well, there were two, in my opinion, very challenging persons in the waiting room. Again, all the staff remained calm and professional.
Well done to all and a big thank you from us both.
"Kindness and professionalism"
