"Supportive nurse during my miscarriage"

About: Sutherland Hospital / Maternity Unit

(as the patient),

I stayed at Sutherland Shire hospital for a few days. I was a patient of the Maternity ward as I was having a miscarriage. During the early hours of the second day, the nurse attending to me was so helpful, caring and showed so much compassion. I feel so grateful to her and all the nurses that day as it was an extremely traumatic experience and they made it so much easier to go through. I feel really bad that I don't remember any of their names but I hope this feedback reaches of them.

Thank you so much for all that you do. I'll never forget how respectfully I was treated by them. Thank you.

Dear asteropedd47,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I know it must have been a heartbreaking time for you and I’m moved you took the time to write to acknowledge the compassion shown to you by our nursing staff in Maternity.

I have forwarded your comments to the Nurse Unit Manager of Maternity Services to share with the staff. I know everyone will greatly appreciate your kind words and gratitude for the care they provided to you on this occasion.

Thank you and best wishes,

Vicki Weeden

General Manager
