"Toowoomba Day Rehab Program"

About: Lives Lived Well - Toowoomba

(as the patient),

I was recommended to the Toowoomba Day Program by my GP after my relationship was at breaking point, from high levels of use. I was feeling like I had to do something as I knew I would lose everything if I didn't.

I began the Day Rehab program with Sophie & Mysti via Zoom recently. The Zoom process was a little nerve-racking but I found it easier to navigate, being able to do group but be at home allowed me to spend time with my kids and around the house.

I felt the program flowed in a way that led you into areas that you hadn't thought about for your recovery. I liked how the focus of the program was about self-compassion and empowering us to take positive steps to change our lives. This focus helped me become more future-focused for myself and move away from being stuck in why I was here.

Sophie & Mysti made us very safe & comfortable from the beginning, like we were on the same level and understood. Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone who would like to take the next step in their recovery to try the Day Rehab Program out!

Hello dancedj88,

Thank you for your post about your attendance via zoom to the Lives Lived Well's Toowoomba Day Rehab Program. Thank you for your acknowledgment of the program and of staff members, Sophie and Mysti. I will make sure they are aware of your post on Care Opinion.

It is great to hear that doing the program online via zoom from home worked for you - even if it was a bit nerve-racking at the start. Well done for stepping into the unknown and trying something different by going to your GP and following up on their advice.

Looking at areas you have not considered before or seeing things in a new way is an important part of the rehab and recovery journey. Having compassion for yourself is not an easy thing to do but it is so essential if we are to make lasting changes in our lives. Believing I have the skills and the power to make positive steps in my life opens up new possibilities, when previously we often felt there was no way out or we felt stuck.

Finally, thank you for recommending Lives Lived Well's program to others. We appreciate your comments very much.

I wish you all the best for this future that is opening up for you.

Warm regard

Gerard
