My parent has an aged care package which, in my opinion, is eaten mostly by administration fees which is ridiculous. I believe this is meant to help our aged population and not rip them off with fees! It seems 2/3 of the money is eaten up by fees.
One of the fees they charge my parent is for organising someone to come over and cut the lawn. The gardener has said that they had a certain fee for front and back yard but I believe catholic community services charge my parent almost double the gardener's fee + extra for administration for this service. I understand that the service have to make something as well but to charge my parent hundreds of dollars to have the lawn cut is ridiculous.
They also have 2 different fees for managing the account (almost $1000 I believe) a month. I feel this is robbery to the max!
Every month my parent receives statements from the catholic community services and I believe it's just full of fees and hardly any services provided.
I want to know who I can contact to help me sort this mess for them.
