I was admitted to Logan house on a six-week residential rehabilitation program (CBT-based) in which I have gained a generous amount of knowledge around my addiction to alcohol.
I found the program a real eye-opener around how the brain functions and works. I have previously been in 12-step rehabilitation programs but find that I found this CBT-based program seemed a lot more functional in regards to my needs as a recovering addict.
After completing the program there is a substantial amount of ongoing care and support provided around meeting my needs going forward in the future, including housing, one-on-one counselling with staff and a day program if required.
While staying at Logan House I had one-on-one appointments with Kylie. She was great in going through the main issues I had around my behaviours and thought patterns around my addictions, she was very helpful and understanding in what I, as an individual, was going through.
