"Hypnobirthing/ Postive Birth Classes"

About: Bunbury Hospital / Maternity Busselton Health Campus / Maternity Unit, Childbirth & Parenting Education

(as the patient),

We couldn’t recommend this course enough.

Our labour and birth was a magical experience and I must say that this course had a lot to do with that.

I went into labour naturally one night, laboured all day the next day and had a C Section that night.

I entered the birthing suite and laboured in the bath all day and it couldn’t have been more beautiful. My partner set up the room to ensure I remained calm. Tea lights, diffuser, dimmed lights, affirmation cards and music. By the evening, due to lack of engagement in the pelvis, we had decided that a c-section was the safest option. However, we were prepared for this and still felt positive.

Our baby was born at that evening weighing a healthy 9lb4oz!

Recovery has been fantastic and our time in the Busselton hospital was wonderful. The nurses where so attentive and respectful of our wishes, most were quite aware of the teachings in hypnobirthing due to the recent offerings of free classes in the South West.

It’s perfectly true that no matter how you birth, it can always be positive. We got the best of both worlds and we couldn’t be happier with our labour and birth journey 🥰

We can’t thank Kasey enough for sharing her knowledge and giving us the tools to guide us through a beautifully informed labour and birth!

Dear swingkb73,

I am pleased that you had the opportunity to attend the Positive Birth Program. And more so, that they had the desired effect and positive benefits for you and your birth.

We are very fortunate that we are able to provide these exciting classes, and Kasey’s dynamic knowledge and passion has played a huge role in that. I am pleased that the midwives attending your labour were able to support you and your partner through the options and the choices that you needed to make.

We are fortunate at Bunbury to be able to provide such an exceptional service to the local community and the supportive carers course has certainly contributed to positively influence the safe and understanding care we provide. I know the girls appreciate the feedback.

Take care.

Regards

Andrea Drew
