I completed an online hypnobirthing course mid-year during the lockdown for COVID. This was my second baby but I always wanted to complete the course but never got around to do it in my first pregnancy.

During this time there were no face-to-face antenatal courses due to the restrictions. The course was run over a month and was once a week, and delivered via Skype with a midwife in Bunbury hospital called Kasey.

She did a great job of delivering the course and had an amazing knowledge. The hypnobirthing course was amazing and I now recommend all my pregnant friends to do the course. I believe the course helped me have the quick and beautiful birth that I had.

Thank you for taking the time to write to Care Opinion. Congratulations on the birth of your baby. I am glad that you found all the strategies and tools from the antenatal classes to be useful, and I am sure that as you settle into the “routines” of home they will continue to be helpful.

COVID has certainly bought with it some challenges but it has also created some fantastic opportunities. We are very fortunate that Bunbury has been able to continue providing the antenatal classes, adapting to the online antenatal classes’ format. It has enabled us to ensure greater access to the comprehensive program for families across the state as well.

Kasey is such a dynamic and passionate facilitator and I will ensure your kind words are passed on.
