About: Moora Community and Child Health Centre

(as a service user),

My child was referred for a paediatrician assessment last year and we were just advised that on top of having to wait over 12 months already for an assessment, that we are unable to afford to do privately, that the wait for an assessment has been made longer and that they don’t know when/if they’ll be visiting Moora this year!

We have tried all other options for our child and feel we have no other option but to continue waiting and watching them fall further and further behind their peers.

I feel this is so disappointing.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am sorry to read of your disappointment with our public paediatrician service in Moora.

We acknowledge the gap in this service and have been working with Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) to source a paediatrician to provide these visits. Unfortunately, we have been unable to obtain a visiting paediatrician but we are continuing to work with PCH and other key stakeholders to resolve this important access issue.

We would like to assist you in obtaining an appointment at another location or via Telehealth (video conference) if appropriate. To enable us to do this I would really appreciate if you would contact Erik Anda, Primary Health Manager, Western Wheatbelt Primary Health on 0429 100 545 or Email. erik.anda@health.wa.gov.au and provide him with your child’s details.
