"Family involvement"

About: Royal North Shore Hospital / Cardiothoracic surgery

(as a carer),

I am a carer, doctor physician at home for 24 hours & 365 days for my parent in law for years. I am COVID 4 times negative.

I was not allowed to meet my parent in law when they were calling me repeatedly after CABG bypass heart operation and even after talking with front office reception, ward nurse, ward NUM. And on the same day, I had presented to your office for the same issue.

I was never informed for both side chest tube insertion prior to the procedure and no formal update even after speaking to the secretary of the team who is looking after.

We have noted patient suppose to transfer to the general ward because of no bed was in ICU, kindly consider for general ward payment.

Truly, in my opinion, your patient relation services have zero emotions and not at all good and patient, my parent in law, felt very bad, including my family.
We have noted other patient family peoples are visiting more in numbers.

I cannot come every day because of my duty to care for my patients and in my opinion, your emotionless services give pain to the patient and me and family.
