"Treatment in the Emergency Department"

About: Margaret River Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I needed to get help over the weekend when doctors surgeries would have been closed. I was visiting the town and had no knowledge of or relationship with local doctors anyway.

I want to commend the Margaret River Hospital Emergency Department staff on their standard of care. They were welcoming and efficient, and the treatment and advice I received from the doctor was very thorough.

My one negative comment was the constant disruptive noise like someone was stamping something, which I later found out, was an emergency department door that needs repairing.

Dear omegacx59,

I am glad to hear that the staff at Margaret River hospital provided you with great care.

The staff take immense pride in the service that they provide to the community.

I am sorry though that you had a disturbed sleep with the noisy door.

I have asked the maintenance team to follow-up in regards to the door. They have informed me that this was due to the doors not aligning properly causing the electric drop bolt to click in and out repeatedly.

This has now been fixed and if there are any other issues with the door the staff will let them know straight away.

Thank you for your comments and I hope you have recovered well.

Regards,

Jan Cook
