"Amazing experience at maternity ward, Albany Health Campus"

About: Albany Health Campus / Maternity Ward

(as the patient),

Well I had to be induced early due to some medical reasons. It was my partner’s first little one and we couldn’t attend any classes. So I was rather anxious how it all going to pan out. We had the most amazing Registered Midwife who went above and beyond to make sure my partner is ok and explaining every step of the labour. I wanted to go all-natural and only wanted epidural if I needed it in a medical situation. I know I did ask for it a few times, but the midwife and my partner gave me the strength and encouraging words to keep going and got through it A-okay. The midwife was amazing.

The midwives on the ward were just as amazing and encouraging. My little bub had problems with their BSL due to gestational diabetes so they had to get so many heal pricks to test it which was really emotional to experience seeing their little feet turning blue. They made me feel comfortable while doing it and explained how it all works. The midwives accommodate every need we had. I can’t fault them for one thing. This was the best birthing experience I’ve ever had. Had two kids previously at  Albany Health Campus (8-9years ago).

Community Nursing team from Maternity Ward was pretty amazing too with some great knowledge.

Just want to thank everyone at the Maternity Ward. Keep up the very high standard of care.

Dear Ecstatic mum,

Congratulations on the birth of your baby! Thank you for your lovely feedback about the Maternity Ward at Albany Health Campus. It is so wonderful for us to know that you and your partner were kept well informed and supported throughout your birthing experience. We really appreciate the positive feedback which I have shared with all involved.

Our midwives understand how difficult it can be watching your newborn undergo treatment and I am so glad that our staff were able to comfort you. We hope that your little one is doing well and send our best wishes to you and your family.

Kind regards

Jude Haffner
