We found the care in the hospital for our dad was exceptional, I felt the staff were caring and showed respect to them and to us. They were upfront and explained everything possible to us and to him so we could understand where things were heading. In my opinion, they didn’t sugarcoat things which helped us a lot.
The communications lines were always open.
Once transferred to Armitage house the care was amazing from Doctors, Nurses in charge, nurses caring for my parent, Physios, OTs, Palliative care and even the kitchen staff.
I felt they treated dad with so much respect and kindness and did their very best to make them comfortable at all times.
Just through talking to us and explaining things along the way it helped us spend quality time with him, they always made us feel at ease and we were able to ask questions and get advice along the way. It was never too much bother for them, their kindness and comfort was impeccable.
We thank you all so much for making things easier along the way and for making dad's final days less stressed. You are truly a wonderful bunch of caring people full of kindness and respect. We appreciate everything that you all did, even just popping in to say hi and ask how we were going or if we needed anything, I feel those are the little things that make everything a little easier.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, thank you, thank you 💝💗
