"Great care in Margaret River hospital"

About: Margaret River Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

A weekend away went wrong when I suddenly became unwell with what looked like my first ever migraine. The ambulance staff and ED staff were so lovely, especially the doctor (Shaun?) who came in late at night to help get a cannula in my arm. The staff were so compassionate and caring, even though I was a difficult patient (a few wines and a healthcare worker myself!). They made sure I had enough medication to get safely back to Perth where I unfortunately ended up back in hospital.

Dear bee91

Thank you for taking the time to post your recent experience at the Margaret River Hospital Emergency Department.

I am pleased to hear that you were treated with care and professionalism, as that is our aim for all of our patients. The care you received also aligns with the WA Country Health Service values, especially those of compassion and quality.

The teamwork very hard to deliver this level of care and they really appreciate the feedback. I will make sure this is passed on to the ED team and also to our volunteer ambulance service.

Yours sincerely,

Sandy Znidarsich

Acting Clinical Nurse Manager
