I live in the KEMH catchment area and had my 20+ weeks appointments at the East Wing clinic. Despite getting a different midwife each time, I thought the care I received was excellent.
I visited the MFAU once prior to labour and also received excellent care.
I had a smooth labour and was discharged a few hours after our baby was born.
I really struggled with breastfeeding and my baby wasn't able to latch at all after 2 weeks. I made an appointment at the Breastfeeding Clinic at Agnes Walsh House and Sharon immediately recognised what the issue was and since then I have been able to transition to breastfeeding.
If I hadn't gone to the clinic I probably would have given up on breastfeeding and exclusively pumped and bottle-fed my baby. Very grateful for the support I have received and ongoing appointments to check in on our progress.
