About: Busselton Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Towards the end of last year, my young daughter and I presented at the Emergency Department of the Busselton Hospital. 

We were attended to in a timely manner by the triage nurse and called through by Dr Van not long after. Dr Van showed the utmost care. He was so gentle and patient, explaining and showing my Daughter exactly what he was doing and why. 

I asked My daughter what she liked about Dr Van and she said how caring he was. 

Thank you for helping us and making my daughter feel safe in a not very familiar place. 

I am so beyond grateful for the care we received and I feel so lucky to have such amazing public health care, so close to home.

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience with the emergency department team in Busselton Health Campus.

The emergency department environment certainly can be distressing to young children at times. It is great to hear that the doctor involved recognised the need for your daughter to feel safe in our department. We are incredibly proud of this team and the way they work with our patients to achieve positive outcomes during the patient journey.

It is always pleasing to hear that our service is able to support our patients and achieve positive outcomes through challenging times.

I will ensure that your kind feedback is provided to the doctor involved.
