"Doctors wait times"

About: GPs in the Hindmarsh Electoral District

(as the patient),

So my partner and I have been moving around GP's in order to avoid waiting times, and establish a new regular GP where we get seen to on time, much to our bad luck because it seems to be the same everywhere. Now all I know is that having patients crowding waiting rooms should be made a no no these days, why not make it mandatory for doctors services to send courtesy sms's or calls to inform that the doctor is running a bit late and that the expected time to arrive is 30 mins or 60 mins, or more, whatever just so that at least I don't feel so stupid turning down O/T when I didn't have to, and then they tell you that if you don't make your appointment it's a $15 fee, well at least at my GP.

I've seen at least twenty people waiting in the car park of a busy shopping district claiming to have been waiting 2 hours, in the blistering heat on the asphalt because the footpath couldn't allow for social distancing. I feel this has got to stop.
