I had a Labial Biopsy done at the Kerang Hospital late last year.
I received a call from the Gynaecologist a couple of weeks later, informing me of the results. They suggested I see my GP if the stitches from the surgery had not dissolved and to have them removed.
A nurse at my clinic removed what we thought was all of the stitches. However, some days later I realised there was a stitch remaining.
This morning I phoned Kerang Hospital and explained my situation to the reception. I was transferred to Nurse Sally who listened and asked me to come to the hospital.
Upon arrival, I met with Sally who took my blood pressure and pulse. Sally then proceeded to remove the remaining stitch.
Sally was extremely pleasant and very efficient. Within a short time, Sally had successfully removed the stitch from my labia. Whilst I understand nurses experience a range of tasks, this could not have been pleasant for her, however, it was done without a fuss and with much care.
I am very thankful that this was undertaken and I am now more comfortable.
Both reception and Nurse Sally were very understanding of my situation and did not hesitate to assist me. For that, I am very thankful.
"Pleasant and efficient"
