"Postpartum care at KEMH"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

I would like to share about my postpartum care with Caroline, a midwife at KEMH. I had three appointments with Caroline to check my health after giving birth and I felt that it was very helpful. Caroline was kind, respectful, non-judgemental and made me feel like a human being, not just another patient. She was very easy to talk to and we had some interesting conversations about motherhood. She was very professional and thorough in checking out my physical and mental health..thank you Caroline.

Dear sambadj33,

Congratulations on the birth of your child. Thank you for your comments on the Care Opinion site.

The Visiting Midwifery Service plays an important part in the postnatal care we are able to provide to women, for up to 5 days following birth, once they are discharged home. It is lovely to hear that you were able to get the advice and support you needed from Caroline.

Thank you for sharing your story and we will be sure to send your appreciative comments to Caroline.

I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

Kind regards

Jodi Graham
