At the end of a very warm day in late 2020 I experienced extreme shivering and vomiting at home. An ambulance took me to Angliss hospital. I have little recall of what happened there but I must have been assessed and stabilised before having two COVID tests (which were negative) and then being transferred by ambulance to Box Hill.
The treatment I received throughout was excellent and I am most grateful to all the staff. I had 2-3 days in CSU where, I understand, the main treatment was to overcome the infection and to get my (low) blood pressure up to an acceptable level. I then had about 9 days in a ward before discharge. Ongoing monitoring was by my GP and I also had a home visit from the Angliss physiotherapist. I was tremendously impressed with all of my treatment throughout. Thank you to all concerned.
