"Dental care"

About: Graylands Hospital

(as the patient),

I had a sore tooth and saw the dentist in an emergency at Graylands and they put a filling in and then I had to go back later to get a real one put in, but I went back and they said it was fine. But then it went rotten underneath and started hurting 6 months later and I couldn’t eat and had to go back to get it fixed.

Dear rhinotz93,

Thank you for taking the time to write to us about the treatment you received at the Graylands Dental Clinic. I am sorry to hear that you had to make a few trips to the clinic to get your sore tooth seen to and a filling applied to the decayed area of the tooth.

Our clinical staff do their best in addressing the needs of the patient and it is usual practice to leave the filling alone if the patient is not experiencing any pain. I am sorry to hear that you experienced some more pain six months after the review and the initial treatment you received.

I am glad to hear that the staff have re-treated your sore tooth and it appears to be fixed. I hope it does not cause you any further problems. Thank you again for your feedback.

Best wishes

Ros Elmes
Executive Director
