About: Albany Health Campus / Cancer Services Telehealth Service - WACHS Great Southern

(as a service user),

My husband and I live 450km from Perth and were recently diagnosed with cancer. Having WACHS Great Southern Telehealth in our town allowed us to communicate with our surgical team, anesthesia and multidisciplinary team prior to surgery without having to drive or fly to Perth each appointment. 

This saved us valuable time and expense and in return gave us such support both clinically and emotionally. We wish to express our thanks to all who make this service function and a big thank you to all the WACHS GS team who I feel are just amazing people.

Thank you for sharing your positive feedback about Telehealth and the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Great Southern team. It is wonderful to know how you have benefitted from using the Telehealth service.

WACHS have been building on its Telehealth services since first established in 2012 and Telehealth services are now available for Emergency Medicine, Mental Health, Inpatient and Outpatient services. We encourage anyone that has an appointment with a Perth specialist to contact their doctor or clinic and request to have it as a Telehealth appointment.
