"Kept waiting over 2 hours past appointment time"

About: Prince of Wales Hospital / Campus Centre 2 - Adult Outpatient Department (AOPD)

(as a service user),

I attended the outpatient department at POW for a mid-afternoon appointment for a fractured ankle. I arrived respectfully early however I was now waiting two and a half hours past my appointment time.

There has been no updates or communication from the staff who I feel all have now claimed it is out of their control and always like this.

I could not imagine how it is acceptable to always run this far behind schedule.

I feel it is completely disrespectful to treat patients this way without any communication.

I have now missed my schedule to take my children to after school activities.

If delays like this are common and acceptable to the staff of this clinic then I feel they should be communicated to the patients at the time of scheduling the appointment.

In my opinion, this is the poorest level of respect and service.
