About: Armadale Hospital / Campbell Paediatric (Children's) Ward Armadale Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

I wish to wholeheartedly thank the Doctors, Nurses, PCA staff & all remaining staff at the Armadale Health Service especially in Emergency & the children's ward Campbell. 

Our dear daughter had a prolonged seizure on a Friday & we rushed her to ED. Priority one, she was brought to Resus straight away. We were so fortunate to have 2 consultants, Registrars and experienced nurses take care of our daughter. They were all so professional, dedicated, compassionate, thorough in their commitment to ensuring our daughter had the best care as well, having one staff member at a time stepping aside and explaining to us what was happening, what they were doing, their aims for her care, reassurance and we didn't miss a thing regarding her care.

We were shown to the relatives room with regular feedback of the progression of care. Although I am a nurse myself I was still petrified, I am firstly a mother and everything that the staff did for our precious girl and us parents gave us tremendous comfort. The staff who followed up our daughters care on the ward were so kind and welcoming, the doctors were so thorough in their elimination process towards investigation about my daughter's seizure and follow up care. It is a comfort to know that the healthcare I saught in a time of desparate need was there in full swing and delivered the best care. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your health care experience on Care Opinion. It was wonderful to read about the compassionate and timely treatment that your daughter received during what I can only imagine as being an incredibly stressful and distressing time as a family.
