"Regular Infusion"

About: Sale Hospital / Day Procedure Unit

(as the patient),

I visited the Sale Hospital Day Procedure Unit for my regular (6 monthly) infusion for the ongoing treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. The staff I saw were wonderful and looked after me throughout my visit!

The room felt crowded at times as the staff wheeled other patient beds through our lunch trays. This didn't cause any issues today but I imagine this must be frustrating for them. I am assuming the unit shares equipment with another unit as, on multiple occasions, the staff asked to take the small tables we were using to other locations (presumably for other patients).

Overall a very pleasant visit, I'm grateful to be able to have these infusions done so close to home and my support network.

Dear Ausperson,

My name is Mandy Pusmucans and I am the Director of Nursing at Sale Hospital.

I appreciate your feedback and will pass on your kind comments to the team. I am very pleased that your experience has been positive as that is our aim.

Regarding your concerns about the equipment, I will review this with the Nurse Manager. It is important that staff have the equipment they need to enable the highest quality of care.

Again, thank you for your kind words and I hope that your health has improved.

Kind regards

Mandy
